2 weeks ago I joined Slimming World. Having struggled with my weight for sometime, but doing something about it kept moving down my to-do list. It was when I was putting together something for the kids that gave me the kick I needed. Making memories is my motivation. Continue reading “Making Memories is My Motivation”
Did Babywearing Create a Rod for My Own Back
When you have a baby, people you know and complete strangers seem to like to impart their *wisdom* to you. Babywearing Ro was one that seemed to attract these comments for me. So did babywearing create a rod for my own back? Continue reading “Did Babywearing Create a Rod for My Own Back”
Camping with the kids – Holme Valley Camping and Caravan Park
Choosing a good campsite can make a camping trip, so when I had a few friends recommend a site not that far away, I wanted to see what it was all about. Here is what I thought: Camping with the kids – Holme Valley Camping and Caravan Park.
Over the past 2 weeks, we have made two trips to Holme Valley Camping and Caravan Park. First time to see how Ro would like camping, and second because J really wanted longer time camping. This gave us more time to look around the site, and try out some of the facilities, including the on site food shack Kampers Kitchen.

First camping trip of 2017 – Would Ro like it?
Getting out for our first camping trip of 2017 made for a happy J. The question was, how would Ro like her first camping experience? The verdict is in.
J has been itching to go camping since we packed up on our final camping trip in 2015. I decided on a campsite that wasn’t too far away, just in case Ro didn’t share our love of camping just yet. Reading reviews and speaking to a few people who had stayed there, we decided on one. I booked a 2 night stay at Holme Valley Camping and Caravan Park. Change is as Good as a Holiday? – I’m having both.
They say a change is as good as a holiday, and as it has seemed to have worked out, I get to have both.
There is always that extra spring in your step when it’s the last day of work before a couple of weeks annual leave. That down time you really need, and today for me is that day. We have plans to go to the seaside, camping and just have general fun together. Most importantly making memories. So is as they say, a change is as good as a holiday ? Becoming a Mum – Hopes, Dreams and Heartbreak
For as long as I can remember the one thing I always wanted was to be a mum. Although becoming a mum was not as easy ride.
When I was in my first year of high school, I can still remember an English assignment I had to do. The assignment was to write a letter 10 years in the future, telling the 12 year old me what I was doing. I can remember vividly what I wrote down. The letter stated I was in my own place, in a relationship and had 2 children. I was only 14 years out ! Continue reading “Becoming a Mum – Hopes, Dreams and Heartbreak”
Making Norman
This is the weekend that my Mummy and me made Norman.
Norman’s Adventures with J
As the summer holidays are upon us, I would like to introduce a new blogging pair. J and his little buddy Norman. Norman’s adventures with J.
Over the past year, J’s creative writing has improved so much, and I was trying to work out ways to help continue this over the summer break. Then he mentioned that he wanted to blog with me, (he likes doing the same thing as mummy) and the idea came to me. J and I would create a little adventure buddy together, and then he could write about their adventures.
