Rainbow Tubs and Tokens Pattern

I loved creating this, a little rainbow tubs and tokens activity set, quite simple and easy to make. I made this with my daughters motor skills and colour learning in mind.

Supplies:

Yarn: I used Anchor Creativa Fino which is a 4ply 100% cotton yarn, in 7 different colours
Hook Size: 2.5mm
Stuffing
Needle for finishing

Abbreviations :

MC: Magic Circle

Ch: Chain

SC: Single Crochet

INC: Single Crochet increase

SL St: Slipstitch

BLO : Back Loop only

FLO: Front Loop only

Note: Working in a continuous round

Tubs:

This pattern starts with the smallest tub.

R1: Create an MC and create 6 SC, then close circle (6)

R2: INC in all 6 stitches (12)

R3: SC, INC – repeat until end of round (18)

R4: 2 SC, INC – Repeat until end of round (24)

R5: 3 SC, INC – Repeat until end of round (30)

R6: 4 SC, INC – repeat until end of round (36)

**** Add another round here for increasing size of tub, see below ****

R7: BLO SC in each stitch (36)

R8 – R15 : SC in each stitch (36)

R9 : Turn work for final row, SC in each stitch (36)

For each subsequent tub, add additional stitches before BLO round, increase by 6 stitches.

For the second tub: 5 SC, INC – Repeat until end of round (42)

For the third tub: 6 SC, INC – Repeat until end of round (48)

For forth rub: 7 SC, INC – Repeat until end of round (54)

For the fifth tub: 8 SC, INC – Repeat until end of round (60)

For the sixth tub: 9 SC, INC – Repeat until end of round (66)

For the seventh tub: 10 SC, INC – Repeat until end of round (72)

Tokens:

Note: For these tokens, I did a slip stitch and didn’t work in continuous rounds but that was only due to preference, you could work in continuous if you prefer and can make it any size you want, and as many as you want. I made 7

Part 1

R1: Create an MC and create 6 SC, then close circle (6)

R2: INC in all 6 stitches (12)

R3: SC, INC – repeat until end of round (18)

R4: 2 SC, INC – Repeat until end of round (24)

F/O

Part 2

In the same colour

R1: Create a MC and create 6 SC, then close circle (6)

R2: INC in all 6 stitches (12)

R3: SC, INC – repeat until end of round (18)

R4: 2 SC, INC – Repeat until end of round (24)

R5: FLO, SC in each stitch (24)

Bring part 1 and part 2 together

R6: Join part 1 and 2 together in SC for 20 stitches, stuff, then close with final 4 stitches
