Driving a Firefly – 6 Years Old and Learning to Drive

On the weekend, we had the opportunity to let J get behind the wheel of a firefly at YoungDriver. When I heard what Young Driver offer, it brought back memories of my childhood. After telling him he would be driving a firefly, he had been counting down the days. He woke up on Sunday morning bouncing around with excitement, I have never seen him so willing to go get dressed and ready to go out.  Once we set off he was constantly chattering and asking the dreaded – are we there yet, all the way down to the Etihad grounds in Manchester.

Camping with the kids – Holme Valley Camping and Caravan Park

Choosing a good campsite can make a camping trip, so when I had a few friends recommend a site not that far away, I wanted to see what it was all about.  Here is what I thought: Camping with the kids – Holme Valley Camping and Caravan Park.

Over the past 2 weeks, we have made two trips to Holme Valley Camping and Caravan Park. First time to see how Ro would like camping, and second because J really wanted longer time camping. This gave us more time to look around the site, and try out some of the facilities, including the on site food shack Kampers Kitchen.

Getting out for our first camping trip of 2017 made for a happy J. The question was, how would Ro like her first camping experience? The verdict is in.

J has been itching to go camping since we packed up on our final camping trip in 2015. I decided on a campsite that wasn’t too far away, just in case Ro didn’t share our love of camping just yet. Reading reviews and speaking to a few people who had stayed there, we decided on one. I booked a 2 night stay at Holme Valley Camping and Caravan Park. Woods, Canvas and Family Time – From a Tent to a Trailer

With school holidays approaching and time booked off work (yay!), I have started to think of family trips away. Our trips away generally consist of woods, canvas and family time.

There is something about getting away from it all, slowing down the pace and just taking time to enjoy family time with no agendas or plans.
