Rebooting My Weight Loss Journey

Rebooting my weight loss journey - FI

Last year I started on a healthy eating and weight Loss journey and did pretty well, losing just over 2.5 stone. I didn’t want something that was just a fad diet but one that would change the way I viewed food. Joining Slimming World did just that, although earlier this year I lost my way and gained most of the weight back through no meal planning and stress comfort eating. Now it’s time I get back on track. My motivation is the same, with an additional factor, my stepson is getting married in November.

Rebooting My Weight Loss Journey

So now things are starting to calm down at home and return back to our normality, I need to get back on track. Focusing on healthy eating and losing much needed weight. Exercise is important, but having limited mobility and health and joint issues makes this difficult. What I need to do is focus on what I can do, and not what I can’t.

When I joined Slimming World, I found attending groups kept me on track because I didn’t want to have a gain said out loud in the group. It made me double think that snack I shouldn’t really be having. Having weight-loss week in and out is unrealistic, no matter how disciplined you are. Keeping positive and on track even with a gain is key.

Even with the weight-loss of 2.5 stone, I struggled to see it in myself through photographs. I think part of that was due to different locations, and clothes. So this time I am going to start with a photo and measurements as it isn’t always about pounds, but inches as well.

As well as the photos and measurements, this time i’m going to be sharing my journey, the losses, gains, struggles and triumphs here. I am hoping it will keep me more on track even if in the ups and downs of life, with the first post next week.

So I am rebooting this journey, and if you would like to follow my journey, you can here and on Instagram.
