Slime seems to be a bit of a hot topic across the playground at the moment. J has been nagging me for a while to make some slime. I looked up making the slime but one thing that put me off was the risk of getting the mixture wrong and it not being safe to play with. So when I was offered the opportunity to review the So Slime DIY Slime Factory with the promise of mess free, measured 2 step slime making, I knew J would be excited to finally be making slime.
The idea of stopping for a Yorkshire Afternoon Tea at the Doubletree by Hilton, set in the lovely historic city of York really appealed. So in the half term holidays, three of my blogging friends and all our children went to sample the Yorkshire picnic, described as Afternoon Tea for Yorkshire folk.
Choosing a good campsite can make a camping trip, so when I had a few friends recommend a site not that far away, I wanted to see what it was all about. Here is what I thought: Camping with the kids – Holme Valley Camping and Caravan Park.
Over the past 2 weeks, we have made two trips to Holme Valley Camping and Caravan Park. First time to see how Ro would like camping, and second because J really wanted longer time camping. This gave us more time to look around the site, and try out some of the facilities, including the on site food shack Kampers Kitchen.
I doodle, write notes, plan things out on paper and write patterns as I go along. My office is organised chaos with what must seem random pieces of paper to everyone else. Although generally we are moving more to paperless, I do like to jot down ideas on paper, so when Dave was browsing amazon he came across the Rocketbook Wave and decided it would be a perfect present for me, so he brought it. I’m always on the hunt for something to do with J, that gets us out of the house that is both exciting for him and doesn’t break the bank. If you live in West Yorkshire and fancy a coffee while your children do arts and crafts or even make a bear this unassuming coffee shop with a difference is worth a visit.
