When we were driving home from our visit to Alton Towers in april, the conversation in the car centered on J making a case for staying at the Cbeebies Hotel. The idea of stopping for a Yorkshire Afternoon Tea at the Doubletree by Hilton, set in the lovely historic city of York really appealed. So in the half term holidays, three of my blogging friends and all our children went to sample the Yorkshire picnic, described as Afternoon Tea for Yorkshire folk.
On the weekend we went to Alton Towers, a trip we had planned back in February. As the weekend approached the constant weather watching started. One of our favourite places to visit is Legoland Discovery Centre. J is completely Lego (and in particular Ninjago) mad. With the school holidays approaching and a variety of ways to get discounted tickets, it’s a fun day out for all the family. – Lets face it you never really grow out of Lego do you !
